Overview

Tether is a local bridge tool that operates entirely on your machine. The browser extension sends selected component information directly to your local AI coding assistant via either our CLI or IDE extension.

What We Collect

To improve Tether and fix issues, we collect:

This data is anonymized and contains no personally identifiable information, code snippets, or component content. We collect only the minimum information necessary to understand how Tether is used and to diagnose technical issues.

What We Don't Collect

Tether does not collect any personally identifiable information, code content, or component data. We operate no authentication systems and maintain no user accounts. Your development work, code, and components remain private and are never transmitted to our servers.

Local Operation

Cookies and Tracking

Tether uses no cookies or third-party tracking technologies. The anonymous usage data and crash logs we collect are sent directly to our servers for product improvement purposes only.

Third-Party Services

When you send component information to AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor, that data is subject to the privacy policies of those respective services. Tether simply facilitates the local transfer of information you choose to share.
